musicthing. a website i like.

musicthing.jpg I just wanted to take this opportunity to point you in the direction of musicthing. because I think its a really nice combination of creepy british anorak style trainspotter and alterno electro creepy synthspotting. I love it, and you should too. There's not much more I can say that can't be explained by a visit to this special Godfried-Willem Raes Love it like a shiny new toy.

ipodlounge release their 2005 ipod guide...

ipodlounge2005.jpg
ipodlounge apart from being one of the largest portals for ipod related information and of course their massive community, released a buyers guide for the ipod last year. This year they've topped it and made available as a free PDF download a high quality magazine style publication with heaps of info on gear and accessories for the ipod - even your friends and mine, the crumpler crew get a mention. Its full of awesome and you can check it out here.

reason 3.0

Meet the combinator...

Ah so hot. So very hot. Reason 3.0. I dont know if i need to say any more to convince you, but if you havent had a tinker with this program you don't know what you're missing out on. New version includes complex chaining of instruments and effects with the "The Combinator", it also has a mastering suite called M-class Which is a really nice addition to Reason, i found the levels when dropping mixes into abelton live were a little flat and I was actually putting sessions into Live to give them a bit more punch. It also features improved remote control support - also badly needed. So hot.

"8 electrifying colours"

N200_Varied_colours.jpg

You might be interested to know that Creative have released new models in the MuVo flash player range, the Micro N200. It's small, weighs 32 grams and 15 hours playback from one battery, fm radio, voice record and all that jazz. Its a pretty standard player. On the topic of jazz, creative seem quite excited by the colour options describing them as "eight electrifying colours". I'm electrified, I dunno about you. I can't help but feel that Creative think that by simply providing more features and colours for their players they're automatically entitled to king of the audio player market. Maybe, and just maybe they need to revisit their control interface and hire some jazzy (there it is again) advertising crew to help them tip over the line, cos at the moment it just looks like it's Apples rock show still.
