Day 31: Wet & Cold in Hobart
Bloody miserable afternoon, cold and wet. Walked up to yoga in rain and wasn't really in the mood for it. For the first 20 minutes I kept getting my right from my left confused and that's embarrassing when everyone else has figured that out, say at age 6. Double yoga again this week was good and totally worth the effort.
Looks like the winter weather is starting to arrive finally and we'll get some genuinely cold days maybe. It's been very mild up until now. Nothing like going to the gym, getting on gym clothes and hitting the rowing machine looking at people rugged up in the freezing cold outside the windows...
Bit achey in the wrists though, which means that I might have to skip weights tomorrow and push it back to friday and do cardio instead. Rather err of the side of caution instead of hurting myself.
What I did:
Walked to work and and about half the distance home 2.5km (Cabbed it home after dinner out, as it was wet and crap outside)
Gym: Cardio Session 35 mins
Ashtanga Yoga 1h 30mins
What i ate.
Breakfast: 2 slices home made toast with Vegemite (1800kj?) + 1 Cup Earl Gray Tea (150kj)
Morning Tea: Very small handful of raw nuts (400kj?) - Need to get a new packet. Each time i've mentioned eating that it's all been from the same packet so it's been pretty good value.
Lunch: Tin of Tuna in Springwater 330kj, Penne Pasta 1200kj, Lots of Tabasco Sauce (Don't know how many kj's are in Tabasco, but I assume you'd have to have a pretty high pain barrier to get down anything significant.)
Afternoon Tea: Tub of Strawberry Fruche 550kj
Dinner: (We went out after yoga to dinner so a bit more extravagant than usual) 6 pappadums, 1 cheese pakora, 3 small (finger sized) pieces of tandoori chicken, 1/2 bowl of Saag Paneer (hand made cheese in spinach curry) + 1/2 bowl of Dahl Makahni (black lentil curry). All up? Probably as much as 3000kj. I left plenty of food, but still felt like I overate.
Mood: What to do next?
Comments
Whoa, never had a pakora with cheese in it before! Hook me up with some of those bad boys!
Keep up the good work dood - it is inspiring reading.
